Join Allied Universal supporting a government aviation location as a patrol officer, where you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, parking areas, and perimeters, help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and calls for assistance. You will remain highly visible, write clear reports, and deliver helpful customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.
Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors by carrying out post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter routes, noting and/or reporting unusual activity, unsecured doors, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas by observing badge presentation requirements, screening for unauthorized entry, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in and/or public areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local authorities as needed and documenting actions taken.
- Complete security-related reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation; communicate key information during shift transitions to support consistent coverage.
