Job Description As a Airport Security Officer - Park Team in Honolulu, HI , you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time - Overnight Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious items and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Monitor and control access points by checking credentials and/or authorizations, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, assisting with evacuations when directed, and coordinating with airport operations and law enforcement.
  • Complete timely reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts using radios, phones, and/or computer systems.
