Job Description As a Airport Security Officer - Checkpoint in Honolulu, HI , you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. This position is posted at the TSA checkpoints, ensuring that once closed that passengers no longer have access to walk through. Along with patrolling, checking, and securing doors. You will remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM Sun 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
21+ years of age
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing information or guidance as required while maintaining a professional presence.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as directed to address security-related matters at the location.
