About The Position

The Cleaner performs a full range of cleaning duties and responsibilities in support of the lounge operations at The Club lounge opening in the Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport. The role ensures lounge specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition, and that lounge and facilities are cleaned and maintained to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations. Cleaning duties include but are not limited to restrooms, trash removal, furniture, back of house areas, and dishwashing.

• Report on work on a regular and timely basis.
• Adheres to all local and state health department guidelines.
• Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, break rooms.
• Assist with clearing tables of dirty dishes and cleaning tables.
• Restock beverage stations.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaner and/or shampooers.
• Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transport to designated disposal areas within and outside of the lounge.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors in restrooms.
• Replenish restroom supplies, polish metalwork including fixtures and fittings.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Additional floor work may be required such as scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Washes walls and woodwork, clean windows, door panels, partitions, and windowsills, etc.
• Notifies supervisor concerning any need for any maintenance repairs or additions observed.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and partitions.
• Clean dishware, scrub pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, and load and unload dishwashing machine.
• Must be able to stand during an entire scheduled shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
