About The Position

The Manager of Airport Contracts develops, negotiates and manages the Airport Services Contracts (ground handling, catering, deicing etc.) to assure the appropriate goods and services are provided to fully meet Allegiant Air operational requirements at all airports, where it operates at the best possible terms and conditions and cost. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education: Bachelor’s Degree Education Details: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business related discipline or equivalent experience required. Years of Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in procurement, contract negotiations and clear understanding of airport operations. Preferred Requirements MBA or advanced degree preferred. Previous airline related experience preferred. Well-developed planning and organizational skills. Proven ability to establish goals and objectives and constantly measure the performance of the service providers and station ensuring goals are met. Proficient in Microsoft Office software and general ability to use information technology. Responsibilities

  • Manage and conclude Airport Services Contracts & Agreements (ground handling, catering, deicing, aircraft cleaning etc.) for its entire network in a timely manner.
  • Based on the airline operational needs and its expansion plan, identify and negotiate the ground handling, catering, deicing, aircraft cleaning etc. contracts with the service providers.
  • Manage a data base of all FBO’s, service providers and vendors at different airports, who are able to provide allegiant air with ground handling, catering, fuel and other services. Extensive market research has to be carried out, which will help us in creating healthy competition at various airports.
  • Work with Allegiant Air Station Operations, Airport Services & Planning, Inflight, Financial Planning and Accounts department to identify the core business issues relating to different services required at various airports that precipitated the request. Define and qualify the specifics that will satisfy relevant needs and assure the services provided at an airport would meet the operational need and would remain within the expected cost.
  • In case of ground handling, catering, deicing, aircraft cleaning and other high value purchases, develop requests for proposals (RFPs), source and evaluate qualified service providers.
  • Work closely with the Stations team and GSE manager to establish and arrange appropriate GSE equipment at different locations.
  • Negotiate with service providers and vendors and make trade-offs to claim maximize value on behalf of the company.
  • Hold regular meetings with all stake holders and present various options for selection of service providers
  • Post-contract, work with project team to assure users / internal recipients understand all aspects of the goods or services purchased. After the handing over of services to the new service provider, follow up to assure the goods or services provided are in compliance with all the claims made by the supplier as per the contract. With assistance from the functional manager, re-engage the vendor, as necessary, to resolve supplier performance problems, as well as modify contracts that require adjustment over time.
  • Improve automation of the procurement process. Develop automated tools within the company’s information system, AIS, to assist in procurement and contract management. Where possible, utilize electronic data interchange (EDI) to assist with contracting activities.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by the Director from time to time.
  • Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
