About The Position

(Employees assigned to St. Louis Lambert International Airport may be eligible for a commuting allowance of $180.00 bi-weekly.) Manages and directs staff of 6. Positions supervised include: Airport Planning Manager, Airport Properties Inspector, Civil Engineer III, CAD Technicians. Prepares annual service ratings. Evaluates performance of subordinate employees and provides support and coaching to develop employees. Identifies work-related problems and handles/resolves department grievances at the first step. Provides documentation to support corrective and disciplinary actions. Participates in the hiring process. Works with code officials and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to demonstrate how the Airport meets all required codes. Works with the Airport Planning Manager to facilitate the leasing and sale of outlying Airport properties. Reviews designs and monitors construction of all tenant-sponsored projects of the CTP. Coordinates the Planning department activities with other Airport departments, state, local, and federal agencies, and utility companies. Serves as the Airport's ADA contact as this relates to construction and design and assures that construction and design meets or exceeds ADA standards.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, Inc.
  • Five years of project management experience on large engineering and construction projects.
  • At least two years of experience supervising engineering and/or architectural design and construction staff.
  • Experience and Training: 100%
  • Background Investigation: Pass/Fail
  • Medical Examination: Pass/Fail
