About The Position

The Airline Passenger Assistant, also known as the Wheelchair Agent, is responsible for providing essential passenger services to individuals requiring wheelchair assistance at airports. This role emphasizes customer service, ensuring a positive experience for passengers while adhering to safety protocols and client security requirements. The position offers on-the-job training and is suitable for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• No experience required and on-the-job training provided

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow safety precautions at all times while transporting passengers
• Engage in positive interpersonal interaction with passengers
• Comply with all client and/or site security requirements and processes
• Safely transport passengers in wheelchairs from their retrieval point to their desired destination within the client site or grounds
• Assist passengers with baggage retrieval and transport, if necessary
• Coordinate assignments with dispatchers and gate agents, if necessary
• Complete thorough Incident Reports
