Operating a fleet of more than 120 aircraft—including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99—Ameriflight delivers reliable service from bases across the U.S. Employment Type: Full-Time Location: DFW International Airport Shift: Tue-Sat, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Summary The Parts Buyer will purchase goods and services for all Ameriflight bases and ensure adequate parts availability to operate efficiently.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including TSA Security background check.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria.
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience

Responsibilities

  • Review requisitions and confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
  • Checks and maintains stockroom daily
  • Procures, sources and negotiates the buying of parts & equipment necessary for operation of an organization.
  • Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
  • Prepares purchase orders.
  • Reviews bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
  • Maintains purchasing records such as items, cost, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
  • Approves invoices for payment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
