About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic (licensed A&P) - is responsible for the day-to-day aircraft maintenance activities, including aircraft preservation and letter checks. This is an experienced-level position that reports to the Lead A&P in the Maintenance Department.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years’ experience in commercial aircraft maintenance or modification.
Valid A&P license

Education received from an FAA approved aircraft maintenance and mechanic training program
GEN-FAM for B767, B777, B787

Responsibilities

Reads, understands and interprets applicable maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing and /or replacing components.
Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communications, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.
Assumes responsibility for ensuring that Aircraft Maintenance functions are completed in accordance with Federal regulations as well as Company policies and procedures.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
Performs storage requirements, to include servicing, lubrication and inspection of airframe in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems in order to determine cause of defect.
Performs aircraft rigging requirements per applicable maintenance manuals when applicable
Familiar with aircraft Illustrated Parts Breakdown for identifying replacement materials and components.
Operates Ground Support Equipment necessary for completing assigned task.
