About The Position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Aircraft Weapons Integration Analyst to join our growing team at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA. The successful candidate will have prior munitions/loading experience to support all matters related to the maintenance, loading, and sustainment of weapon systems integrated on AFGSC aircraft. This role acts as the vital bridge between the operational perspective of program offices and the hands-on reality of the flight line. By providing a career maintainer's viewpoint, this role ensures that new weapon systems are not only operationally effective but also safe, efficient, and sustainable for the Airmen who will ultimately maintain, load or employ them.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • MAJCOM, NAF or HAF experience performing in a similar role
  • Previous SCI or Special Access Program (SAP) experience
  • USAF weapons maintenance or loading experience
  • Possess strong knowledge and understanding of national, DoD and US Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives and procedures relating to acquisition, requirements, and PPBE activities
  • Possess strong ability to work with minimal oversight and have demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills
  • Be capable of operating in a high-paced multi-tasking environment
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills; comfortable briefing General Officers
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • TS clearance with current in-scope SSBI required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI/SAP/NATO clearances required.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous mission-ready bomber/fighter aviator
  • HAF/MAJCOM/NAF experience with programs entering the Materiel Solution Analysis (MSA) phase and continuing through the acquisition lifecycle (ICD, AoA, Milestones, PDR, CDR, IOT&E, etc.)
  • DAU requirements certification and HQ Staff level Requirements Development experience
  • USAF Advanced Maintenance and Munitions Operations School (AMMOS) graduate
  • Master’s degree is highly desired.
  • Current SCI desired

Responsibilities

  • Maintainer Advocacy and Design Influence: Serve as a command SME for weapons development in program reviews and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Analyze new weapon system designs and provide authoritative feedback on maintainability, support equipment requirements, loading procedures, and technical data to prevent costly redesigns and fielding delays.
  • Lifecycle Test & Integration Oversight: Act as an AFGSC on-site technical representative during critical integration events, specifically focusing on initial aircraft fit checks, support equipment validation, and the first-time loading of new systems to identify and document potential issues for the program office.
  • Training Plan and Technical Order Review: Provide an expert maintainer's review of all draft training plans, course materials, and technical orders. Ensure procedures are written clearly, are technically accurate, and follow established safety protocols before they are fielded to operational units.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a primary liaison between the AFGSC weapons enterprise, the weapon/aircraft System Program Offices (SPOs), and Air Force Operational Test & Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) on all sustainment-related matters. Translate headquarters guidance for the test community and communicate flight line realities back to program managers.
  • Senior Leader Advisement: Brief AFGSC senior leadership on the maintenance and sustainment readiness of new programs, highlighting risks and providing recommendations from a career weapons professional's perspective.
