About The Position

Operate ground support equipment. Operate portable firefighting equipment. Monitor and assist the line move crew when operating inside the hangar. Prepare aircraft for washing by ensuring vent areas are taped and all protective covers are in place. Wash and rinse external and internal surface of aircraft and aircraft components to remove grease, dirt, oil, fungus and stains. Polish and clean windshields and canopies with water, polishing and cleaning compounds and cloth. Perform pre/post wash lubrication and procedures. Document work accomplished on government and company electronic and/or manual Information Systems. Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area. Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations. Responsible for adhering to the Tool Control Program. Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment. Monitor and assist the line move crew when operating inside the hangar. Pursuant to the specific provisions of the CBA, at the discretion of management, may be requested to perform the duties of Lead. Perform other related duties within the job classification. Assist in ensuring the safety, security, inventory and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.

Requirements

  • One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Aircraft Towing Certification
  • GSE Licensing
  • Airfield Operators License
  • Valid State Driver License
  • Physical as required by NAVAIR 3710.1 Series
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to generate, compile, analyze and evaluate facts and data using statistical and research methodologies
  • Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) months aviation maintenance and/or flight line experience preferred.
