About The Position

Technicians work in a team environment with other technicians, pilots, dispatchers, flight attendants, and line service in order to ensure a safe and legal environment for passengers and colleagues in fulfillment of the air transportation services.

Requirements

  • Possess a violation-free, current Airframe and Power Plant certificate.
  • Possess a personal set of tools appropriate to the type of aircraft operated by the department.
  • Positive, can-do team attitude with great communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong situational awareness, job planning, and scheduling abilities.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office computer software.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s documentation.
  • Excellent avionics and electrical knowledge; able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Superior troubleshooting skills (electrical, avionics, systems, hydraulics).
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and walk distances in the hangar.
  • Willingness to work varying shifts, holidays, weekends, stand-by, and on-call.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
  • Comfortable working outside in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer and transient aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations.
  • Ensure that all work during assigned shift is accomplished and in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer’s technical data, CFSs, and applicable safety regulations.
