Aircraft Paint Team Lead Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Component Paint Team Lead to support our 2nd shift, Alternate Work Schedule based out of North Charleston, SC. The Team Lead will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS. Position Responsibilities: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Builds effective resource plans. Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader. Updates and communicates BPS metrics. Identifies KPI improvement actions. Assigns daily work. Leads team in daily safety check-in. Monitors and reports daily progress to plan. Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk. Documents and communicates shift turnover. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing. Responsible for monitor and control of 5S. Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues. Creates standardized work instructions. Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements. Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks. Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting. Makes necessary patterns, performs layout, and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft. Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections.
