The Paint Team Lead is responsible for efficient production flow throughout the paint process. He or she will also provide support to employees through coaching, feedback and training. The Team Lead is an instrumental part in ensuring day-to-day goals are being met through effective communication with a variety of support resources to resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Powder-coat paint experience, with a minimum 1-year manufacturing experience required
  • Experience conducting training in alignment to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate job expectations to operators and achieving desired results by monitoring, coaching, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Ability to motivate a team to meet safety, quality and delivery metrics
  • Skilled in analytical thinking and problem solving – including continuous improvement efforts
  • Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and the Internet.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of product into, within and out of paint systems.
  • Support the day-to-day department goals by ensuring the assigned area goals are met through problem support and maintaining flow of the line.
  • Communicate with a variety of resources to resolve problems and ensure uninterrupted production flow to assigned area(s).
  • Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure cross training, policies and procedures are followed, and meet all quality requirements.
  • Support the production process by filling in positions on the line when necessary to maintain the flow of work
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.
