About The Position

Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Jacksonville and Component Operations Aircraft Mechanics – General Mechanic (Associate or Experienced Level) Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Jacksonville and Component Operations facility is seeking General Mechanics that are motivated to support a greater cause in directly impacting military warfighter readiness by providing critical maintenance repairs and modifications for our military customers. The professionals chosen to fill these positions will join our MRO and Component Operations organization, working as part of a team in support of our key programs such as military commercial derivatives, fighter aircraft and aircraft component maintenance, repair, and overhaul. The candidates chosen will be responsible for adherence to established processes, accurate and timely work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance. To ensure we continue to support our customers, we are looking for skilled aircraft maintenance professionals to join our team. Successful applicants will be based in Jacksonville, Florida. Position Responsibilities: Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure and systems in accordance with standard repair processes. Perform component installations, ceiling, sidewall panels, flight controls and other hydraulic components. Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair. Use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts. A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. The mechanic will be required to access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests. Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work. The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays. Mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Requirements

3+ years of experience with F/A-18 maintenance and/or modification
3+ years of experience working as an aircraft mechanic
3+ years of experience or reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and / or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and / or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime)

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH)
