About The Position

You will be the F-35 Aircraft Mechanic for the Aircraft Maintenance Team which is responsible for keeping the F‑35 fleet flight‑ready and safe. This position is located in Fort Smith, AR. What You Will Be Doing As the F-35 Aircraft Mechanic you will be responsible for delivering nose‑to-tail maintenance, launch and recovery support, and technical training to ensure the aircraft are always mission capable. Your responsibilities will include: - Conduct launch and recovery operations and full‑spectrum maintenance to keep the F‑35 fleet operationally ready. - Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs of aircraft systems in strict compliance with directives. - Execute field‑level modifications and manage Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance requirements. - Provide on‑the-job training to new team members, contractors, and international partners. - Maintain accurate aircraft records in ALIS and communicate status to the production team. - Uphold stringent housekeeping and safety standards, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. The position will require working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s). This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Candidate must be able to acquire and keep a flight line driver's competency card. Physical Requirements: This position may include certain required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry.

Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 2 years hands-on working experience USAF, Navy, United States Marine Corps, or equivalent Aircraft maintenance or A&P certification.
  • Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs
  • Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a secret clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance to start.
  • Ability to travel, to include short notice and overseas.
  • The position will require working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s). This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours.
  • Valid Drivers License required. Additionally, candidate must be able to acquire and keep a flight line driver's competency card.

Nice To Haves

  • F-35 or 5th Generation Fighter Experience. Experience with the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
  • Ejection seat tear-down/build up experience.
  • Joint Technical Data navigation (JTD) Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI)
  • Anomaly Fault Resolution System (AFRS)
  • Fuel systems experience.
  • Low Observable (LO) repair and maintenance experience.
  • Fiber Optic repair and maintenance experience.
  • Avionics troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Ordnance experience
  • Experience performing in a role of task trainer
  • Valid US Passport
