About The Position

As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic, you will support either the Columbus Engine Center (CEC) or the Military Engine Center of Excellence (MECoE). Your role involves performing turbine engine, engine module, and component maintenance according to approved technical data, work instructions, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance
  • Basic understanding of Disassembly, Assembly, and Test (DAT) processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate.
  • Experience with engine overhaul and repair, including GTF and/or F117, PW2000 platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly, or Turbine Engine Test Operations.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or RTX’s CORE Operating System.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Perform disassembly and assembly of engines, engine modules, and components using common hand tools, specialized tooling, and fixtures.
  • Execute all phases of assembly and disassembly in compliance with documented work instructions, including required self-inspections and peer inspections of critical processes.
  • Ensure work is completed in alignment with Safety, Quality, and Delivery objectives.
  • Accurately document work performed and ensure adherence to configuration control and quality requirements.
  • Support a team-based environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
