The Air Traffic Services Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom and simulator‑based instruction for the generic initial Air Traffic Services (ATS) training programs in alignment with regulatory and customer requirements. Under a first‑of-its-kind partnership in Canada, CAE instructors will deliver initial training for Flight Service Specialists and Air Traffic Controllers using NAV CANADA’s curriculum and courseware. Training will take place at the new purpose‑built Air Traffic Services Training Center on CAE’s campus in Montreal. Responsibilities include: Conduct classroom training and simulator briefings in a thorough and professional manner in accordance with CAE standards. Deliver simulator sessions following customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Act as invigilator for theoretical examinations, simulator examinations, and progress checks. Accurately complete all required client training records to ensure trainee progress is clearly documented and instructor handovers are seamless. Recommend remedial training when a trainee is not achieving required progress milestones. Record simulator usage and discrepancies in accordance with established procedures. Participate in update or refresher training on ATS or instructional principles, as required. Serve as a subject matter expert contributing to continuous improvement of curricula, courseware, and training processes.
