About The Position

The Pricing Coordinator is responsible for managing and fulfilling requests to load customer pricing and commitments into our platforms. This role is crucial in addressing our current high volume of business and backlog. Pricing is completed in two platforms, with the initial and final stages of orders managed by other personnel. The Pricing Coordinator will handle the intermediate stages, involving production, research, confirmation, and data entry. The system automatically disseminates completed pricing to the appropriate contacts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of air freight experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong typing skills and 10-key typing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, professional attitude and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, complete, and respond to daily pricing requests in accordance with assigned due dates or service level agreements for new and existing customers.
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies prior to pricing business, such as validating that commodities do not violate our restricted/prohibited commodities policy and identifying embargoed countries.
  • Provide detailed notes on every pricing activity, clearly communicating how pricing was compiled to relevant operations staff upon award.
  • Monitor and report monthly progress towards assigned goals and KPIs to management.
  • Develop rapport and communicate with stakeholders at network offices to maintain up-to-date pricing for accessorial charges, enabling immediate door-to-door pricing when required by customers.
  • Collaborate with management and peers to identify best practices and continuously improve the quality of pricing activities to enhance win ratios.
  • Learn, understand, and utilize various pricing tools available.
  • Support identified process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
