What does a typical day look like for the ACO? During the initial training period (45 days), the ACO will work from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. Emergency Shifts could range from 0800-1600, 1600-2400, or 2400-0800 and do not count towards a regular 40-hour shift. Once training is completed, ACO will have a 5-day on and 2-day off schedule of either all 2nd shift (4:00 pm – 12:00 am) or 3rd shift (12:00 am – 8:00 am) or a combination of both. Operate a multi-zone air conditioning plant consisting of several centrifugal chillers with a capacity of approximately 3,000 tons and two reciprocating chillers with a capacity of 175 tons each, 4 computer room air conditioning units with a total capacity of 40 tons. Start, stop, and adjust all the air conditioning equipment needed to maintain the required conditions of special medical areas. Make hourly inspections of all operating equipment and record all findings. Check and adjust room temperatures and air handling unit temperatures as needed and address any alarms. Respond to emergent situations relating to the malfunction of all building service equipment in the medical center. Complete weekly and monthly (PM’s) Preventive Maintenance in all the Fan Rooms. At the end of each shift, the incumbent will be required to have a hand-off meeting with the person relieving them to discuss items not corrected from the previous shift. What qualifications do you look for? You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have: Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship. 12 months of commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and building operations experience.
