Air communication Specialist
About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Air Communications Specialist for the Nightingale helicopter. This role involves receiving, processing, and transmitting communications using radiotelephone and computer-aided dispatching equipment in accordance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations for Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance medical missions and other aircraft. The specialist is also responsible for maintaining records and communications center-related documentation of transport requests, as well as other records required by regulatory agencies and departmental procedures. Additionally, this position assists the Transfer Center staff as directed.

Responsibilities

- Maintains records and communications center-related documentation of transport requests.
- Maintains other required records required by regulatory agencies and departmental procedures.
- Assists the Transfer Center staff as directed.
