About The Position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Air C2 Systems Engineer (SysAd) to join our team at Camp Pendleton, CA (Oceanside, CA) near San Diego CA. You will be working with a team that is tasked with test and evaluation services in a Test and Engineering Division as the lead engineering support for Air C2 testing and training. The Air C2 Systems Engineer will assign tasks, mentor staff, and develop solutions to complex issues. Review technical documents, deliver briefings, and maintain records. Engage with customers to align efforts with objectives, manage lab equipment, and oversee system maintenance to support mission-driven engineering outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a systems engineer.
  • Two years' experience performing engineering, software development, testing, or system administration of Air C2 systems such as CAC2S, CTN, or TBMCS.
  • Experience in project management, configuration management and quality control procedures.
  • Experience administering VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Windows Server Operating Systems (desired).
  • Experience in Microsoft Active Directory (desired).
  • Working knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and switching (desired).
  • CompTIA Security+ certification, Desired.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Desired.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Desired.
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional, Desired.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related field.
  • An active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required to start in this position.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Travel for this position is anticipated to be 30%-50% within the Continental United States and 10%-25% outside the Continental United States.
