About The Position

Air and Missile Defense Commander (AMDC/AIR/W) Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. ATGPAC’s Battlelab Support team is seeking a Air and Missile Defense Commander (AMDC/AIR/W) to support this vital program with positions available in San Diego, CA. The Battlelab team shall provide technical, tactical, and administrative support to provide FBP, FST-U, STW and BMD distributed training to ships and provide feedback to ATGSD, ATGPNW, and ATGMP. Duties include: Shall construct and disseminate the ATG FBP/FST-U/STW/BMD Battle Lab plan, communications plan, and simulation control methodology plan to ATGSD, ATGPNW, and ATGMP, as applicable, and to participating ships. The contractor shall brief plan(s) to ATGSD and participating ships prior to each event to ensure all participants are aware of the FBP and FST-U, BMD battle scenario.

Requirements

  • Must have 5 years of Combat Systems management experience as a Naval Officer or Chief Petty Officer or equivalent supervising combat systems configuration, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Naval Warfare Specialist.
  • Warfare experience in implementation of Task Group Concept as an Air Defense Warfare Commander (AMDC/W) or as a senior staff member for a Task Group/Force Commander, or as a Senior Facilitator with equivalent experience training warfare commanders or senior staff members.
  • Must be qualified as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO) or AAWC
  • Must have 5 years scenario development/training/operation experience with Joint Semi Automated Forces (JSAF); Multi-System Automated Remote-Control Interface (MARCI).
  • Must have 5 years’ experience with Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT) and Tactical Data Information Link generation systems supporting LOS Link 11(A) /16(J), Satellite-J, Link 16, Global Command and Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M); Tactical Voice/Data Communications.
  • Must have 5 years experience operating a C5I system in a FST or equivalent complex architecture as well as the management of combat systems configuration, operations
  • Must have experience in naval warfare operations or conducting training for naval warfare or equivalent joint experience.
  • Knowledge of: AAW Tactics, Technical Systems, and Instructions, including Navy OPTASK.
  • US Navy Surface ship C5I systems and embedded training systems supporting synthetic training.
  • The detailed data exchange requirements of the various operational areas in which naval forces deploy and how to exercise that capability to ensure ships obtain the highest degree of mission readiness.
  • SECRET clearance
  • US Citizenship Required
