About The Position

Air and Missile Intelligence Analyst, Mid Key Role: Leverage intelligence research experience and foreign conventional weapons knowledge to perform threat analysis and characterization. Analyze, characterize, and assess foreign threats based on information across all intelligence disciplines. Construct threat characterization studies that extend beyond the intelligence record, incorporating SME experience and judgment. Analyze foreign conventional weapons across terrestrial, such as ground-mobile launch and long-range strike platforms, air-defense and over-the-horizon surveillance and fire control systems; maritime, such as surface and subsurface vessels equipped with long-range strike weapons; air, such as next generation fighter aircraft, bombers, long-range air-to-air missiles, and standard and hypersonic cruise missiles; and space, such as long-range maneuverable missiles, hypersonic glide vehicles, fractional orbital bombardment systems, and domains. Conduct assessments on system capabilities, performance, signatures, employment, research and development activities, timelines, designs, and configurations. Tailor assessments to inform client initiatives working to generate, evaluate, and recommend force designs for U.S. space-based systems, services and architectures. Apply knowledge of foreign weapon system architectures, networks, and technology along with experience using IC tools and databases to identify, extract, and analyze pertinent information and provide technical analysis to support protection initiatives. Engage IC partners and Defense Intelligence Analytic Program authorities to develop integrated analysis plans, solicit further insights and collaborate on additional research. Identify information gaps and threat information needs to task IC entities via standard IC tasking processes and request for information tools to conduct additional collection and analysis. Author and coordinate assessment products on foreign missile programs combining intelligence information and DoD technical and operations analysis in collaboration with IC and DoD partners.
