About The Position

- The AIMS Rehab Counselor II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing professional counseling services to individuals with substance abuse issues. The role involves developing and implementing personalized rehabilitation plans to support clients in their recovery journey, promoting mental health wellness, and facilitating their reintegration into society.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in rehabilitation counseling or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing rehabilitation plans.
  • Strong understanding of rehabilitation counseling principles and practices.
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate client records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing rehabilitation counseling.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, strengths, and challenges to develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure the delivery of holistic services.
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families about substance abuse, mental health, and available community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.
  • Participate in case conferences and staff meetings to discuss client progress and share insights.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in substance abuse counseling and mental health treatment.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and healthcare systems.
  • Support clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to enhance their recovery and prevent relapse.
