About The Position

The School of Mathematics at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for one postdoctoral research position in the mathematical foundations of Artificial Intelligence for Science for Fall 2026. The position consists of an annually renewable three-year research and teaching appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematics and the position includes research funding. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students. Requirements

  • A PhD or its equivalent in the Mathematical Sciences, granted not more than 5 years prior the start of the appointment.
  • An earned doctorate is required by the start of the appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include developing an international level research program aligned with the mission of Georgia Tech AI4Science Center
  • collaborating across the university in research and grant efforts
  • teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in School of Math
  • and actively participating in the operation of Georgia Tech AI4Science Center.
