AI Tools & Automation Intern
About The Position
Easy Pay Direct is a leading payment processing company specializing in high-growth industries. We help entrepreneurs, coaches, e-commerce businesses, and high-volume merchants scale without the fear of account closures or frozen funds. We’re looking for a motivated college intern who’s eager to get hands-on experience building AI and automation tools that streamline business operations and create real value for entrepreneurs. As an AI Tools & Automation Intern, you’ll work directly with our marketing and operations teams to design, prototype, and launch micro SaaS-style tools using platforms like Replit, Lovable, and n8n. You’ll gain practical experience in applied AI, automation, and low/no-code platforms while building tools that will be tested and deployed in a real business environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Technology, or related field.
- Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or another scripting language.
- Interest in AI/ML, automation, or SaaS development.
- Comfortable experimenting with no-code/low-code platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Self-starter who enjoys building MVPs quickly and iterating.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience using AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
- Knowledge of webhooks, APIs, or workflow automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms or GitHub.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and prototype AI tools that solve problems for Easy Pay Direct and our clients.
- Build automation workflows using n8n (or similar platforms).
- Experiment with Replit and Lovable (and others) to quickly create and test AI-powered applications.
- Work with Marketing and Operations to integrate tools into existing business processes (e.g., lead generation, reporting, customer support).
- Document workflows and create internal guides for non-technical users.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to brainstorm tool ideas and optimize usability.
