About The Position

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected UNDERGRAD OR GRAD (based on HM request) students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7. Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. Position Summary This role is part of the newly formed AI Transformation Team under the Business Management Organization. The intern will focus on leading the strategic planning and end-to-end AI lifecycle execution of business-specific AI use cases to drive company-wide AI transformation. Through these AI projects, the intern will deliver tangible business results to achieve strategic business objectives, operational efficiency, and innovation. The role reports directly to the Director, Head of AI Transformation Team.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate students in the final year of study strongly preferred.
  • Academic fields of study: AI, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on building experience in Generative AI (e.g., LLMs, AI agents, copilots) with foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts. Strong understanding of system connections with AI through APIs and MCPs. Proficiency in data analysis & automation tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, RPA), deep understanding of AI platforms, and/or Python coding knowledge. Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel for analysis, documentation, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities to analyze business performance and ROI on AI use case implementation projects. Strong project management skills and experience with AI implementation tools. Passion for staying current on the latest AI trends and market/industry insights. Proven experience or coursework in AI-driven strategy, transformation, and/or adoption projects from concept through deployment. Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Expertise in critical evaluation of complex problems and providing clear recommendations. Ability to build strong relationships with peers, across the organization, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • AI Use Case Discovery: Support the discovery of tangible AI use case opportunities and pain points across business teams. Participate in AI use case discovery workshops and weekly meetings with AI Crews embedded in each division across the entire organization.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of AI use cases, from ideation to development/testing/launch of proof-of-concept, pilot, and scale-up. Present insights, proposals, business cases, and progress updates to senior stakeholders. Translate complex technical concepts into actionable decisions to secure buy-in and funding.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Conduct ROI and benefits analysis during planning. Perform KPI analysis post-execution to measure success.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate AI project risks and blockers from internal and external factors.
  • Innovation and Benchmarking: Challenge the status quo to identify new AI-driven processes, ideas, and technologies. Proactively benchmark current AI & ML technologies and industry trends. Conduct benchmarking of industry, headquarters, and other subsidiaries to identify best practices.
  • Testing and Implementation: Support beta testing and user acceptance testing of new AI platform/service features.
