About The Position

Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. We are hiring AI Strategists, Business to do the strategic and analytical work of translating what AI systems say about brands into decisions that executives can act on. This role is high-visibility and high-judgment. You will work directly with marketers, operators, and senior leadership at some of the world's most recognized brands — helping them understand their AI presence, build the business case for AEO investment, and turn platform data into structured, boardroom-ready thinking.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience at a top consulting firm, investment bank, PE or VC firm, post-sales solutions consultant or in a strategy and operations role at a high-growth technology company or startup
  • Highly structured thinker who can take an ambiguous brief and turn it into a clear framework, whether that is a business case, a strategic narrative, or a data-driven recommendation
  • Comfortable working directly in data, running analyses, and translating quantitative findings into executive-friendly outputs
  • Strong communicator and storyteller, able to present with conviction to senior stakeholders and adapt your style to different audiences
  • Genuinely curious about AI search, AEO, and the evolving marketing technology landscape; you want to understand how this space works
  • A native user of AI tools — you build workflows, automate tasks, and create projects with AI in your day-to-day work, not just as a curiosity
  • Builder mentality: you are energized by creating structure where none exists and comfortable with the ambiguity that comes with a fast-moving company

Responsibilities

  • Build business cases that connect Profound platform data to customer outcomes, translating AI search visibility into narratives executives can act on — whether that is justifying budget or shifting AEO strategic priorities
  • Become a genuine expert in the AEO landscape, staying current on how LLMs surface and cite content, how owned, earned, and social channels each influence AI visibility, and how the landscape is shifting as models evolve
  • Navigate Profound fluently on behalf of clients, translating visibility, citation, and prompt volume data into prioritized strategic recommendations aligned to specific business goals
  • Lead executive-level business reviews with CMOs, VP Marketing, and senior marketing leadership, connecting Profound metrics to client goals and creating urgency around the next phase of investment
  • Develop reusable frameworks and templates for business value storytelling, including business case structures, experiment methodology docs, and value narrative decks — and use them to equip Sales and Post-Sales teams with the language and thinking they need to navigate business-strategy conversations with confidence
  • Partner with Sales, Post-Sales, Product, Product Marketing and the broader AI Strategy team as a trusted expert and strategic voice in some of the most important conversations we have
