About The Position

A leading biotechnology company is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to support the automation and digitization of product development workflows for the company's Tissue Diagnostics Development Organization. This role involves creating custom technical solutions to accelerate innovation, generating innovative automation design solutions, and testing for performance. The architect will identify opportunities to design and deploy Generative AI and Robotic Process Automation solutions, assess system interactions, develop new automated workflows, and simplify processes with long-term solutions. The position requires partnering with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to audit and map complex diagnostic workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design "future state" processes that transition analog tasks into digitized, automated systems. Key responsibilities include designing and deploying end-to-end technical solutions utilizing LLMs, scripting (Python/Bash), and integration tools to automate manual data entry and information retrieval. The role also involves developing and managing rigorous evaluation frameworks for AI outputs, ensuring quality checks, and maintaining data privacy and security compliance. The architect will design, test, and refine complex prompt structures, manage the integration of AI APIs into existing business systems, establish baseline productivity metrics, and track KPIs to measure ROI. Finally, the role includes leading the rollout of new AI tools across the organization, providing technical communication to non-technical stakeholders to ensure high adoption rates.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline. Or an MS with 2+ years or a PhD.
• Advanced proficiency in state-of-the-art models, including a deep understanding of token limits, specific model constraints, and appropriate use cases for varying architectures.
• Proven ability to architect solutions that bridge siloed data environments and create accessible, digitized information flows.
• Proven skill in bridging the communication gap between specialized Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical teams, ensuring that AI solutions address the specific pain points of a product development environment.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash and hands-on experience with automation platforms.
• Ability to partner with scientists and engineering teams, translating technical requirements into operational excellence.
• Critical thinking skills to determine the most efficient tool for a task, knowing when to deploy a complex AI model versus a simple, cost-effective script.
