AI Operations Manager

Mauro Motors IncNorth Haven, CT
Onsite

About The Position

Mauro Motors is a second-generation, family-owned luxury automotive dealership group in Connecticut, comprising Mercedes-Benz of North Haven, BMW of North Haven, BMW of Bridgeport, and Mercedes-Benz Van Center of North Haven. The company is experiencing aggressive growth and is building infrastructure with AI at its core. They have invested in Claude Enterprise (Anthropic's AI platform) and are seeking an individual to take full ownership of this platform to transform it into a competitive advantage across all departments. The AI Operations Manager will serve as the single point of ownership for AI strategy and execution across the entire dealership group. This role reports directly to the President and involves collaborating with every department—sales, service, parts, F&I, marketing, accounting, and HR—to identify opportunities where AI can reduce waste, accelerate decision-making, and enhance results. This is not a support role but rather a position focused on building systems that fundamentally change operational processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing AI tools in a business environment — not just experimenting, actually shipping things people use every day
  • Strong working knowledge of Anthropic's Claude platform (Enterprise features, Skills, MCP connectors, Projects) — or demonstrated ability to learn complex platforms quickly
  • Systems thinker — you design workflows and automations, not one-off tasks
  • Enough technical skill to write advanced prompts, build Skills, configure integrations, and troubleshoot — you don't need to be a software engineer, but you can't be afraid of a terminal
  • Strong communicator — you'll translate between "what AI can do" and "what the service manager needs Monday morning"
  • Self-directed and resourceful — there's no playbook for this role; you'll be writing it
  • Experience with Anthropic Claude — Claude Enterprise, Projects, Skills, Cowork, Code, Design, MCP connectors, prompt engineering
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 — Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate, Excel
  • Experience with GitHub — version control, repository management, collaborative development workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive dealership experience is a plus but not required — business operations experience in any industry works if you learn fast
  • Experience with Workflow & automation platforms — n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar orchestration tools
  • Experience with Data platforms — Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar cloud data warehouses
  • Experience with Customer data & analytics — Tealium, Segment, or similar CDP/tag management tools
  • Experience with API integrations — comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON
  • Experience with Dealership platforms — DMS/CRM systems (a plus, not required) Dealertrack DMS, vAuto, VinSolutions, X-Time, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Own the AI adoption roadmap across all four stores and at the group level
  • Design and build workflows, automations, and custom Claude Projects and Skills tailored to dealership operations
  • Manage all Claude Enterprise connectors and MCP integrations (Microsoft 365, CRM, DMS, and other dealership platforms)
  • Build and maintain scheduled and automated tasks — daily inbox management, inventory analysis, report generation, follow-up workflows, and more
  • Train department managers and staff on using AI tools effectively in their daily work
  • Spend time in each department to understand pain points and identify new AI use cases
  • Track adoption metrics and ROI so we can measure what's actually working
  • Stay current on Claude platform updates, new integrations, and AI developments — bring recommendations to leadership
  • Coordinate with technology vendors on AI-related integrations

Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000 – $110,000 depending on experience
  • Direct access to the President — no layers between your ideas and decisions
  • Ground-floor opportunity to build an AI program from scratch at a growing company
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
