About The Position

Tharp Ventures is a marketing operating partner for category-defining wellness and DTC brands — companies like Ra Optics, Ways2Well, and Daylight Computer. We help founders scale with clarity by balancing the art of brand with the science of performance: paid media, creative, email, and CRO — all under one cohesive system. We're not a traditional agency. We act as the internal marketing arm for our clients, building deep partnerships that drive long-term growth. We're looking for a Full-Stack Ecommerce Developer to own the build, maintenance, and evolution of our clients' Shopify and WordPress sites. Your role: turn designs into fast, clean, conversion-optimized storefronts — and do it faster than anyone thought possible by leveraging AI-native development workflows. You'll work directly with our Account Strategists and Designers, translating Figma files into pixel-perfect, bug-free code that makes our clients' brands shine.

Requirements

You have 3+ years of hands-on Shopify and WordPress development experience.
You're fluent in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Liquid (Shopify), and PHP (WordPress).
You've worked with Figma and can translate designs to code without hand-holding.
You're already using Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI tools in your daily workflow — not just experimenting.
You're obsessive about details. Bugs bother you. You test your own work thoroughly.
You communicate clearly and proactively, especially async. You ask questions before you assume.
You can estimate accurately — or you're honest about uncertainty and flag risks early.
You're comfortable working with a team across time zones and don't need to be managed closely.

Responsibilities

Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS.
Implement third-party app integrations and troubleshoot when they break.
Optimize site speed, mobile experience, and conversion flows.
Execute CRO experiments — landing pages, product page tweaks, checkout optimizations.
Build and maintain WordPress sites using modern block editor development and classic PHP where needed.
Customize themes, build landing pages, and integrate plugins cleanly.
Ensure sites are fast, secure, and easy for non-technical team members to update.
Use Claude Code and similar AI tools daily to accelerate your development process.
Proactively identify opportunities where AI can speed up builds, reduce bugs, or improve code quality.
Stay current on the latest AI-assisted development techniques and bring new ideas to the team.
Own QA on your own work — deliver code that's tested across browsers and devices before it reaches review.
Communicate proactively about timelines, blockers, and tradeoffs.
Record Loom walkthroughs to explain your work and flag questions before you start building.
