About The Position

We are seeking a motivated intern with strong familiarity in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. This internship offers a unique opportunity to bridge cutting-edge AI/ML methods with semiconductor design automation. As part of our Design Automation team, you will: Learn the fundamentals of chip design environments. Collaborate with engineers and Design Automation developers to understand real-world design workflows. Apply and develop AI/ML solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency for chip designers in their day-to-day work.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (must be student throughout duration of internship) with 3 + months of experience in the following:
• Strong coursework or hands-on experience in AI/ML (e.g., LLM inferences, RAG, training models with supervised learning, reinforcement learning).
• Familiarity with Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, so on).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in semiconductor design or EDA (Electronic Design Automation) is a plus.
• Front-End design (RTL and Design Verification), or, Back-End Place-and-Route tools are plus.

Responsibilities

• Explore and prototype AI/ML applications in chip design automation.
• Work closely with team members to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
• Contribute to building tools and models that improve design productivity.
• Document findings and present results to the team.
