About The Position

Primary Function of Position As an AI/ML Data Science Summer Intern, you will assist in exploring and applying basic machine learning techniques to real-world business challenges, including the deployment of Generative AI technologies. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the cutting-edge field of AI and ML, contributing to the integration of Generative AI technologies in practical applications. The internship is designed to provide a platform for learning, experimentation, and contribution to ongoing projects under the guidance of experienced data scientists.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Python programming and SQL.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of data science and AI/ML.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program after the internship.
• Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support data exploration and preprocessing activities.
• Participate in the development and implementation of basic machine learning models under supervision.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate machine learning models and Generative AI technologies into business applications.
• Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of deployed ML models.
• Document and present findings and progress in regular team meetings.
