At AMD, the mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences—from AI and data centers, to PCs, gaming and embedded systems. The company fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration, believing in bold ideas, human ingenuity, and a shared passion to create extraordinary things. Joining AMD means being part of a culture that pushes innovation limits to solve important challenges, striving for execution excellence, while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive. The role involves working with AMD's strong portfolio of High Performance and Adaptive Computing products, including CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and Adaptive SoCs, to deliver solutions for cloud, edge, and intelligent end devices, accelerating workloads from AI to smart networking and software-defined infrastructure. The University Program team, part of the AMD Research and Advanced Development group, aims to empower academic teaching and research by providing access to the latest technology, developing and delivering teaching/training workshops, creating open-source software/hardware projects, organizing academic contests/hackathons, and enabling new business/technical partnerships. This is a highly collaborative and travel-focused role, supporting academic partners across the USA, North America, and internationally. The specialist will regularly travel to universities, conferences, and training events to work directly with faculty and students, working hands-on with the latest hardware and software to support and streamline engineering and business processes while delivering an excellent experience to academic customers.
