About The Position

COLSA is seeking an innovative and solution-oriented early-career AI Automation & Workflow Analyst to support NASA Intelligent Automation Services with financial and business process modernization initiatives. This position supports the analysis, documentation, design, and delivery of innovative automation solutions across functional areas such as procurement, financial management, human resources, and enterprise service operations. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker, strong communicator, and eager learner who thrives in a structured, technology-driven federal environment. Must reside within a commutable distance of Stennis Space Center, MS, and be able to work on-site as needed to collaborate with functional managers and staff in support of process automation, reporting, and operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, enhances, installs, tests, and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems
  • Assists in routine analysis of systems designs and prepares routine logic flow charts on basic and existing systems
  • Assists in the preparation of systems specifications and basic functional process charts on existing and proposed operations
  • Reviews and analyzes procedural documents to extract process requirements, decision logic, and exception handling procedures
  • Identifies manual intervention points, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities across process lifecycles
  • Maintains and updates automation opportunity registers, process inventories, compliance traceability matrices, and current-state/future-state documentation
  • Responsible for obtaining user information to conduct analysis when problems occur
  • Assists in the creation of routine systems designs and may prepare record layouts that are detailed in nature from provided specifications
  • May conduct uncomplicated form designs and layouts
  • Observes and documents customer interactions, meetings, and discovery sessions to capture business process requirements, key decisions, and action items; supports the team lead in researching, designing, developing, and delivering innovative solutions to improve business processes
  • Recommends best solutions to automate existing and new functionality based on ServiceNow applications and modules, Microsoft Power Platform, and other AI/IA platform offerings
  • Assists in the identification of best practices for development of new and existing ServiceNow applications, Microsoft AI/Power Platform applications, and other AI/IA platform applications for radical improvements of business process flow and best NSSC impacts
  • Catalogs and documents existing automation assets including macros, RPA bots, UiPath scripts, and Automated Process Work Instructions (APWIs) across financial management workflows
  • Assesses the quality, coverage, and maintainability of existing automation solutions and identifies gaps between manual processes and automated solutions
  • Assists with testing and validation of Power Automate flows and Power Apps developed by senior team members
  • Compiles, analyzes, and interprets data from enterprise systems including SAP to support decision-making, financial reporting, and process improvement
  • Assists in developing and maintaining dashboards, status reports, effort estimation models, and financial management outputs
  • Tracks and reports on project progress, labor hours, and performance metrics across automation workstreams
  • Supports quantification of manual work effort to inform team capacity planning and staffing needs assessments
  • Research and documents system-to-system integration requirements and data flow mapping across enterprise platforms
  • Assists in identifying API connections, ServiceNow Integration Hub configurations, and data exchange requirements between SAP, ServiceNow, Power Platform, and federal systems
  • Supports architecture documentation and technical design activities for integration solutions
  • Cross-references business processes against applicable federal regulations including CFR, NPR, and OMB Uniform Guidance to ensure automation solutions remain compliant
  • Maintains compliance traceability matrices, Federal Compliance Checklists, and audit-ready documentation
  • Tracks PWS contractual requirements to ensure automation efforts remain within scope
  • Supports federal audit readiness activities related to financial management reporting and controls
  • Develops and executes test scripts for automated solutions and documents results, defects, and retest outcomes
  • Coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with NASA process owners and end users
  • Supports quality assurance reviews of deliverables prior to stakeholder submission
  • Maintains project artifacts including process matrices, roadmaps, meeting notes, and action item logs
  • Assists team leadership in preparing stakeholder briefings, manager presentations, and status reports
  • Coordinates meetings, discovery sessions, and workshops with internal and external stakeholders including NASA program offices
