Enterprise Technology enables secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions that support enterprise operations. Within this organization, the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for protecting enterprise systems through secure identity lifecycle management, authentication services, and directory infrastructure. AI Automation Intern for the Directory Services team will join a collaborative team responsible for managing and modernizing enterprise directory platforms (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, LDAP services). This role focuses on designing and implementing AI-powered automations that reduce manual operational effort, enhance security posture, and improve service reliability. If selected for this internship, you will report to a leader within the Identity & Access Management organization. The dates of this internship are May/June 2026 through August/September 2026.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Experience building technical projects through coursework, research, internships, or personal work
  • Basic understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts (authentication, authorization, RBAC, least privilege)
  • Comfort working with APIs, JSON, and systems integration fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science or other STEM related field at an accredited college or university.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to directory platforms such as Active Directory, LDAP, or Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms or RPA concepts.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts such as prompt engineering, RAG, or anomaly detection.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, dashboards, or data visualization tools.
  • Interest in cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with IAM engineers to identify manual directory operations suitable for automation.
  • Developing scripts and automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, or approved enterprise tools.
  • Implementing AI-assisted capabilities such as intelligent ticket triage, log analysis, anomaly detection, and automated reporting.
  • Working with APIs, JSON, and integrations to connect directory platforms with automation workflows.
  • Applying secure coding practices and responsible AI guidelines.
  • Creating dashboards or reporting to measure automation impact (time saved, error reduction.)
  • Documenting technical designs, process maps, and runbooks for long-term maintainability.
  • Presenting a final demo summarizing outcomes, learnings, and recommendations.
