AGVS Dock Technician - Part-Time - 8-Hour Night Shift

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities
- Works directly with Automated Guided Vehicle System, tippers, trash compactors, cart washers, cardboard bailer, and sterilizers.
- Takes corrective action when encountering equipment malfunctions.
- Will notify AGVS Lead Technician and/or Supervisor of malfunctions.
- Loads AGVS carts on the appropriate tipper, removes the cart when empty and moves it to the cart washer.
- Ensures that trash, linen and regulated medical waste are in the correct cart prior to tipping/dumping. Makes any necessary correction to the waste stream.
- Monitors AGV traffic in the dock area. Clears any obstruction in the vehicle's path. Uses emergency stop buttons when necessary.
- Monitors department equipment and machinery and reports defects. Reports defects in the functionality of all: AGV, Chargers, Sensors, Elevators, Compactors, Tippers, Cart washers, Sterilizers. Carts, and Computers, Radios, Joysticks, and flat beds.
- Other duties as assigned, such as minor repairs, working as a logistics technician, keeping workspace clean and orderly, involvement in hospital safety testing or implementation.
