About The Position

Overview: Job Description Summary: Manages and oversees inventory control activities of warehouses to ensure efficient and accurate distribution. Job Description: Essential Functions: Manages and maintains accurate inventory levels, ensuring they are at optimal levels and within budgeted targets. Plans and executes effective and efficient cycle counting activities and variance resolution. Analyzes inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements. Develops and implements strategies to improve the efficiency of the inventory and distribution processes. Monitors and controls the security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Collaborates with distributors and internal departments on the implementation of inventory control initiatives and to ensure that inventory needs are met. Monitors the performance of the inventory control associates and oversees the development and implementation of training and skill development. Offers recommendations for and executes the strategic plans and objectives of the function. Develops and implements inventory policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, formulas, MACROs, Graphs, Charts).
  • Skilled systems knowledge to effectively use computerized purchasing and inventory management systems, preferably Lawson.
  • Skilled proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in leading major initiatives through effective project involvement and management.
  • Five years of relevant work experience in inventory management, required.
  • Five years of experience managing employees, required.
  • OCCASIONALLY: Bend/twist, Climb stairs/ladder, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Squat/kneel, Standing, Walking
  • FREQUENTLY: Audible speech, Color vision, Depth perception, Flexing/extending of neck, Hearing acuity, Peripheral vision, Seeing – Far/near
