Agronomy Services Field Technicians bring value to the farms we serve through accurate and efficient field evaluation and data collection. Data collected is used to create nutrient management plans and regulatory compliance plans for farms. Primary duties include vegetable crop scouting and soil sample collection. These can be physically demanding and time-consuming positions. There will be regular travel throughout the Northeast and mandatory overtime during the growing season. There are regular out of state projects that require working out of state for extended periods of time. All technician work must be performed according to internal Dairy One/ACS standards and meet or exceed the requirements of the internal Technician Certification process. A level I Agronomy Technician will spend most of their time learning procedures, standards and expectations. Crop focus will be on vegetable crops. Most work will be performed under the guidance of a level 2 technician. Regular duties include collecting compliance and precision agriculture soil samples and manure samples, preparing samples for submission, scouting crops, and reporting data
