About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agriculture Dealer Parts & Service Manager to lead our parts and service operations within the agricultural support equipment sector. The ideal candidate has three to five years of related experience, strong knowledge of farm equipment, agricultural and farm construction products, including concrete structures, manure and feeding equipment, freestalls, gates, ventilation systems and cow comfort. This is NOT a truck/heavy equipment role. This pivotal role involves overseeing inventory management, supplier relations, and service department activities to ensure seamless customer experiences and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of dealership operations, supply chain management, and automotive diagnostics, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and optimizing parts and service workflows.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dealership or agricultural equipment parts management supporting dairy farm equipment (excluding vehicle/heavy equipment)
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, procurement management, and logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with systems related to agricultural machinery.
  • Experience with sourcing parts and managing vendor relationships for manufacturing or dealership environments.
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to agricultural machinery maintenance and repair processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire parts inventory lifecycle, including procurement, stocking, and inventory control to meet customer demand efficiently.
  • Oversee the service department’s operations, ensuring timely repairs, equipment maintenance, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to secure competitive pricing, reliable sourcing, and effective supply chain management.
  • Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, warehouse management, and equipment repair processes to optimize workflow.
  • Utilize ERP systems, order management systems, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track inventory levels, work orders, and service schedules.
  • Lead demand planning efforts by analyzing sales trends and forecasting parts needs to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers and manage procurement processes to maximize cost savings.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation protocols.
  • Implement inventory management best practices to reduce waste and improve turnover rates.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support dealership growth through effective sourcing and customer service initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed records of all transactions through data entry systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
