Requirements

  • Bring over eight years of P&C underwriting experience, preferably with exposure to leading teams and working with agricultural risks.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in underwriting systems and data feeds.
  • Exhibit strong business acumen , analytical decision-making, and resilience, thriving in fast-paced environments and adapting to evolving challenges.
  • Lead with emotional intelligence , fostering collaboration, providing meaningful coaching, and building strong relationships across teams and partners.
  • Communicate confidently with executive leadership and peers, leveraging polished presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite and key business software.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly oversee underwriting operations , ensuring timely, accurate processing of policy changes and reinstatements while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
  • Coach and support underwriters , provide co-signs for guideline adherence, facilitate ongoing training and development , adjust workloads for optimal flow, and set clear performance goals for team members.
  • Establish and refine processes to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as key liaison for territory coordinating with field leadership, responding to claims inquiries, and regulatory tasks.
  • Lead underwriting audits , enforce best practices, and actively participate in strategic projects and committee meetings.
