About The Position

At Freddie Mac, the Agile Development, Tech Lead oversees the entire delivery lifecycle of Single Family New Technology Adoption (SFNTA) products, from inception to engineering and supporting application teams with product adoption. This role involves identifying broader problems in Single Family (SF) delivery and recommending automation improvements. The Tech Lead is responsible for leading developers to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery. They must understand the vision of SF modernization and partner with the SFNTA Chief Tech Lead, Product Owner, and BTO application technology leaders to create SFNTA roadmaps and backlogs that promote the modernization of SF applications. The position also requires researching available technologies, tools, and patterns to create, engineer, and roll out optimal solutions based on predetermined roadmaps. The Tech Lead will develop and maintain working relationships with application and infrastructure teams, as well as other Technical Leads, to collaborate on solution development and guide them in the adoption of SFNTA-deployed products. Effective and efficient team leadership is crucial to meet delivery milestones, and the role includes developing a strong engineering team that builds high-quality products and provides outstanding support, as well as supporting the growth of junior developers through mentorship and training.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in a software development or IT engineering occupation.
5 years of experience in DevOps and Automation using cloud technologies, such as, but not limited to, AWS, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes/Amazon EKS, Jenkins, Groovy DSL, Ansible, Chef, ELK, Maintain & Enhance Elasticsearch Clusters, optimize indexes, Build Dashboards, Terraform, or CFTs.
3 years of experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
3 years of experience developing DevOps linting rules to govern development and DevOps best practices.
3 years of experience in application development using Java, JavaScript or Python.
3 years of experience in Agile methodology.

Responsibilities
