About The Position

At Freddie Mac, the mission of Making Home Possible is central to all operations, having enabled homeownership for over 90 million families since 1970. This role contributes to that purpose by understanding the strategic direction of products and delivering value through effective development techniques. The position involves implementing end-to-end metadata lineage and data governance solutions, identifying optimization scenarios, and translating business requirements into technical solutions for Data Governance, Metadata, and Data Quality. A key aspect is designing and developing integration capabilities between Collibra and various data sources/systems, including on-premises and AWS cloud environments, utilizing MuleSoft AnyPoint studio and Collibra APIs to establish Collibra as a central governing mechanism. The role also entails developing and maintaining data extraction, transformation, and loading mappings using MuleSoft Anypoint Studio and Collibra APIs to ingest metadata from diverse source systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB, Denodo, Hadoop) into the Collibra platform. Furthermore, the Senior Agile Development professional will collaborate with business areas, data custodians, and application data owners to manage metadata refresh activities, analyze schema changes in production databases, update existing Collibra mappings, and refresh metadata. The role includes leading and contributing to development tasks within Data Governance and Data Quality, developing application interfaces via APIs, configuring Collibra DIC meta-model, assets relationships, domains, and communities, and implementing Collibra DIC, workflows, and lineage components. Training sessions on data asset import/export in Collibra, supporting the project development lifecycle using SDLC and Agile methodologies, and providing production support for system issues are also part of the responsibilities. This position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting.
