You work closely with your Sales Manager and the sales / customer services representatives with a focus on customer service, customer sales, retention, and sales growth within the aggregate industry. Aggregate Sales Representatives Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective customer interaction and reporting
  • Capable of managing risk in customer accounts and project execution
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and flexible with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction
  • Must be willing to drive over 50% of your day if required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales or management is preferred.
  • Professional self-motivated and comfortable working with little daily direction.
  • Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and market aggregate materials and services while providing exceptional customer service
  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts to ensure retention and identify growth opportunities
  • Actively prospect for new customers, material haulers, and brokers to increase market share
  • Monitor inventory levels in coordination with Superintendents, Foremen, and internal systems to meet customer demand
  • Gather and analyze competitive market data to inform sales strategies and maintain market awareness
  • Investigate and help resolve customer issues and complaints by coordinating with management and internal teams
  • Work closely with the dispatch team to schedule and coordinate material deliveries via truck and rail
  • Track and report on sales activity, including targeted jobs, win/loss outcomes, and customer engagement metrics
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to assist in collecting open, current, and past-due invoices
  • Forecast customer needs based on current and future market conditions and construction trends
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of aggregate products and their applications
  • Promote products to both existing customers and prospective clients through targeted outreach and relationship building
  • Conduct sales calls and site visits to build relationships and generate new business
  • Accurately communicate product pricing, lead times, and availability to customers
