The Agent Manager serves as the main point of contact for UCW Logistics’ operating agents in providing support, solving issues, and assisting in growth. This position reports to the CEO and is expected to develop strong relationships with all agency owners and their teams. Responsiveness to any agent issues is key to this role, but the Agent Manager will not necessarily solve all issues brought up by agents. The Agent Manager will serve as an advocate and liaison for the agents and ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner to allow the agents to continue to serve their customers. This position should create a collaborative approach to support the agents’ overall agency strategy throughout the company as well as among themselves. This could involve staffing planning, marketing, as well as crossover shared staffing support. The manager will actively promote and reinforce the integral role that agents play in the UCW team, ensuring they are recognized as equal contributors alongside W-2 employees. Emphasizing that the primary difference is their payment structure, the manager will uphold the importance of agents in representing UCW's image and professionalism. This commitment will be communicated consistently to all UCW team members and agents. This position is based in Greenville, SC, and remote candidates will be considered. Heavy travel is required.
