Agency Sales Manager
About The Position
Brightway Insurance in Suffolk, VA is seeking a driven Agency Sales Manager to help lead and grow a local agency from the ground up. This is a ground-floor opportunity within a family-style agency backed by one of the fastest-growing insurance brands in the country. This is an on-site position, MondayFriday from 9:00am5:00pm, located in a prime Suffolk, VA location. The role offers a base, plus commission structure, with leads provided to help drive consistent sales activity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of insurance sales experience (personal, commercial, or both), required
- Active Virginia Property & Casualty license is required at time of application
- Ability to work on-site MondayFriday, 9:00am5:00pm
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable taking ownership of results
Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including administrative workflows, scheduling, and front-desk activity
- Drive new business sales in personal and commercial lines through provided leads and outbound sales conversations
- Consult with prospective and existing clients to assess risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage
- Maintain accurate client and policy data in agency systems (CRM / AMS)
- Stay current on underwriting guidelines, product changes, and carrier markets
- Support agency branding and marketing initiatives and contribute ideas to grow the book of business
