About The Position

The Agency Relations Manager is responsible for prospecting, building, and maintaining agency relationships with independent agencies. Serving as the primary point of contact, this role ensures agencies are fully supported through all steps of the business cycle- from onboarding and production to retention. This position collaborates closely with Underwriting, Client Services, and Agency Support teams to deliver a seamless experience for agency partners. The Agency Relations Manager must possess strong relationship management skills, strategic thinking ability, attention to detail and a deep understanding of the Florida insurance market. The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. To effectively support agents in the region, candidates should be located in or near Panama City, Destin, or Fort Walton Beach.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Independent Agency Relationship Management
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Exhibits technical selling skills and product knowledge in personal lines products
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal daily supervision
  • Able to conduct professional business conversations with independent insurance business owners and decision makers
  • Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales goals
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Office and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel within territory 80% - 100% of the work week
  • Ability to travel outside of the territory on a quarterly basi
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a closely related field
  • Designations such as CPCU, CIC, and industry experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • 4-6 years of sales experience in the property & casualty insurance industr
  • Florida 220 Insurance License required
  • To foster Exzeo’s commitment to creating a collaborative work environment, remote workers will be required to report to a central office location for one week every quarter for collaboration, team building, and educational exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sales and retention of policies within the assigned territory
  • Ability to cold call decision makers from a prospect through contracting
  • Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations
  • Gathers detailed and pertinent marketing and underwriting information
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities
  • Provides high levels of client satisfaction through consistent contact with all agents in the market area
  • Cultivates professional internal and external relationships that align with the company’s core value
