The main purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the Director of Environment of Care by assuming responsibility for the development and management of the Safety, Fire Safety, Hazardous Materials and Waste, and Emergency Operations Plans of the hospital. This includes assessing safety and health risks and assisting in the coordination of the initiation and implementation of hospital-wide risk reduction strategies. This position provides ongoing, organization-wide processes to collect information about deficiencies, degree of compliance with standards, and opportunities for improvement in the Hospital's Environment of Care Management Program, as well as Federal, State, and Local fire and safety regulations.
