Summary: The Director of Agency Operations is responsible for directing, planning, and controlling the activities of Safety's insurance agencies. Liaison between corporate strategy and day-to-day operations of multiple agency locations. Participants in strategic planning, managing agency leadership team, policy formulation, budget preparation, and daily problem solving.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of agency management experience
  • College degree of MBA preferred
  • CPCU preferred
  • In depth knowledge of independent agent marketplace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with other groups within the organization

Responsibilities

  • Strategically plans and manages agency operations that comply with long-term goals.
  • Oversees organizational financial performance, including budgets forecasts.
  • Effectively manages agency team and sales producers to achieve production/retention/profitability goals and operations and financial efficiency.
  • Assesses and monitors future opportunities for agency expansion.
  • Coordinates with home office to improve Safety's Service Center offerings and provide industry best practices.
  • Ensures proper internal controls are designed, maintained, and documented.
  • Establish operational targets, best practices, and training programs that support service, quality and efficiency standards.
  • Analyzes operations and develops key performance criteria and standards to monitor and manage employee performance.
  • Work closely with management team to develop skills and further educational opportunities for employees.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry and regulatory developments.
